Could you become a CommUNITY Mediator? We're always looking for new mediators to join us.
Are you unable to talk to your neighbour?
Is it having a negative effect on you, your home, your family?
CommUNITY can help.
CommUNITY mediation is an impartial, confidential, non-judgemental, independent and voluntary service for Nottingham City Homes tenants and leaseholders.
Mediation is an effective way of resolving disputes without the need to go to court. It involves an independent third party - a mediator - who helps you to find an agreement that suits both sides, but it is not the mediator’s role to find the answer. It is effective either when someone is in breach of their tenancy conditions and in preventing issues from escalating.
We are a free service available to NCH tenants and leaseholders who may be in conflict with another NCH household or a privately own property or tenant of another landlord.
Our Mediators are volunteers who have completed 40 hours of accredited training, are DBS checked, and who come from a wide variety of backgrounds, age groups and communities.
If you would like further information on how the CommUNITY mediation service can help, or to make a self-referral , please email us or telephone us directly on 0115 746 9138, or text COMMUNITY and your name to 80800 for free and we'll call you back.
