Looking after your garden

Looking after your garden

_MG_9417

Thank you to everyone who looks after their garden - you're making your neighbourhood a better place to live for everyone.

You’re responsible for making sure that your garden, yard and hedges are maintained, tidy and free of rubbish at all times. If you don’t maintain your garden, you’ll have breached your tenancy agreement and we may take action against you.

Keeping your garden tidy also helps you to get your £100 Responsible Tenant Reward at Christmas.

Garden Competition

Our Garden Competition has taken place every year since 1935 and celebrates the hard work you do to make your area a great place to live. Anyone can enter – if you take pride in your garden or know someone who does, we’d love you to get involved.

You could win a cash prize, a certificate and one of our prestigious trophies to keep for a year.

Garden assistance scheme

If you’re having trouble looking after your garden because you’re elderly or disabled, you might qualify for the garden assistance scheme.

Because there’s a limited number of places on the scheme, you’ll go onto a waiting list when you apply, and we’ll get in touch as soon as a place becomes available.

The Garden Competition

Our Garden Competition has taken place every year since 1935. There is a range of categories, for everyone from the beginner with a couple of tubs up to the experienced gardener whose garden wouldn’t be out of place at the Chelsea Flower Show!

Garden equipment loan scheme

Have you got a few small garden jobs that you'd like to get done? Our garden equipment loan scheme could help!

The Garden Assistance Scheme

If you’re having trouble looking after your garden because you’re elderly or disabled, you may qualify to join the garden assistance scheme.
