Creating homes and places where people want to live

Energy and sustainability

The global environmental problems impact our planet, but they also impact people and communities in many different ways. Resource shortages and associated price increases impact our customers and our staff. We are working to become as sustainable as possible - for our tenants, our staff, our communities and our business.

You can read more about our direction for reducing fuel poverty and making our business and homes more environmentally sustainable in our Environmental Strategy.

Carbon Neutral Nottingham

We are part of Nottingham's commitment to become the first carbon neutral city in the country.

From fitting new energy efficient boilers, insulating hard-to-heat homes, fitting UPVC windows, installing solar panels and building new energy-efficient homes, we’re investing millions of pounds making your homes warmer and cheaper to heat.

We are also the first organisation in the UK to adopt a revolutionary housing approach called Energiesprong. Pioneered in the Netherlands, this upgrades a home with new outside walls and windows, a solar roof, and a state of the art heating system, all in a matter of days.
