Going green

In 2013, we won the UK Housing Awards’ Sustainable Landlord of the Year. The award recognised our ongoing commitment to making sure that our tenants live in homes that have minimal impact on the environment.

We’ve insulated more than 2,000 homes thanks to over £10million of funding from the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP). We continue to deliver external wall insulation across the city as part of our planned improvements programme.

As part of our Decent Homes programme, we’ve double glazed and insulated homes, and installed new, energy efficient heating systems.

We’re installing solar panels on homes across Nottingham to reduce both the city’s carbon footprint and tenants’ energy bills.

We’re working with Nottingham City Council to deliver the Nottingham Greener Housing programme, installing energy saving measures to homes across the city.

We’re demolishing old, hard to heat homes and replacing them with sustainable, energy efficient ones. Each new home is built to Code 4 Sustainable Homes Standard, which means it meets certain energy efficiency, carbon saving and health and wellbeing requirements.
