Creating homes and places where people want to live

The Charter for social housing residents

The government has released its Social Housing White Paper that looks to reset the relationship between social housing landlords, residents and the social housing regulator.

Safety, accountability and accommodation quality are key themes, and the White Paper proposes a strengthened Social Housing Regulator that will be empowered to act more proactively on things like inspections, tenant satisfaction and performance improvement.

The White Paper’s overall message is that residents need to be protected, heard and respected, and that social housing landlords such as Nottingham City Homes need to be accountable – but they also need to be supported to do their job in the challenging social and economic circumstances that we’re experiencing today.

We welcome the White Paper, and look forward to continuing to develop services in line with our core focus of putting tenants at the heart of everything we do. Find out more about some of our current service offer below.
