Big Weekend for vaccinations: Forest Rec, 12 and 13 June

The NHS is holding a big weekend of walk-in vaccinations at the Forest Rec this Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 June.

If you're aged over 25, you can go along and have your first dose coronavirus jab without making an appointment between 8am and 6pm each day.

The vaccination centre will offer Pfizer-only jabs on those days.

A free shuttle bus will run to Forest Rec in an hourly loop around Radford, Arboretum, Hyson Green and St Ann’s.

Please get vaccinated. Our city is unfortunately lagging behind others when it comes to vaccination take-up. Rates are increasing and indications are that they could continue to do so.

Vaccination is the most important thing we can do to get back to the freedoms we are enjoying now close again. With temperatures set to soar over the weekend, health bosses are urging the public to prepare for the heat by wearing a hat, putting on suncream and bringing water if they are planning on coming down to get their vaccine as people may have to queue.
