Creating homes and places where people want to live

Love your home and garden!

Our homes and gardens are now more important to us than ever. We want to hear what you’ve being doing to transform your home and gardens during lockdown. This could be baking a cake, redecorating a room in your home, growing your own vegetables or carefully looking after your favourite plant.

Love your home and garden is a way for you to share your home and garden love stories. And we’d love you to take part by going to our Facebook page and posting your pics.

The best of the pictures may also be put forward as entrants in this year’s Garden Competition.

Garden Competition

Our Garden Competition has been running for over 100 years. This year, the coronavirus pandemic has meant that for the first time we’re having to introduce a few changes to our normal format.

What hasn’t changed is that we still want to recognise the genuine pride taken by our residents for looking after their home and gardens!

 This year’s categories are:

  1. Best edible garden (indoor or outdoor)
  2. Best use of outdoor space
  3. Most colourful garden (indoor or outdoor)
  4. NCH young gardener, for 18 year old and under
  5. Best garden transformation
  6. Most inspiring home improvement story

How to enter

Send us photographs of your garden, with your name, address, contact details (and age for NCH young gardener only) by email, or you can message us on Facebook.

You can enter as many times and in as many categories as you’d like and can send up to 10 photographs per category entry.

Unfortunately we’re unable to receive postal entries this year.

The final judging will only be made on the photographs you submit this year – so make sure they capture your home and garden at its best!

Great prizes!

Each category winner will receive a £50 e-gift voucher, as well as the chance of winning a special garden themed award at our 2021 Tenant Awards.

The closing date for entries is Friday 31 July.
