If you don't want to apply for any of the current roles, you can still sign up for job alerts or submit your CV for general consideration. You can create an account here and  simply complete the registration form. Once you have created an account, you can login to save you from entering your personal details every time you apply for a role.

To apply for a vacancy, click 'view' to see the full advert and job description for the role. At the bottom of the page is the 'Apply' button.  You will need to answer the questions (if applicable) and attach your CV (if you don't have a CV with you, you can add it later on). You can review and amend your application at any time before you submit it by logging into your account. When you are ready, submit your application!

You can log in to your account to view the status of your application. Please look out for any messages in the 'you need to do something' section. If you change your mind, you can also withdraw your application from your account.

We aim to review applications as soon as possible, and you will receive an email to let you know whether you have been shortlisted for an interview. You will be asked to log in to your account to select an interview slot from a list of available dates/times. Please let us know if you feel you will need any adjustments to help you participate in the interview and selection process.

All personal questions (such as age, gender) will not be shared with the recruiting manager and is considered sensitive information that we hold for monitoring purposes only, and ensures that we meet our commitment as an equal opportunities employer. Telephone interview

You may be invited to take part in a short telephone interview. We think telephone interviews are a great way to get to know each other and can be used to give you more understanding of the role and any technical skills that are needed.

We like to bring out the best in everyone we meet, and we'll have an open and transparent conversation to understand you and your skills, behaviours and values, and see how they meet the needs of the specific job we're interviewing you for. It's worth thinking about what makes you ideal for the role so that you have some great examples of how you can demonstrate your skills.

We do assess in various ways as we feel this helps us get a good understanding of the skills we need - these are specific to the role you are applying for and allows all applicants to showcase their skills. If you are shortlisted for a hands-on role such as a trades colleague, we will allow you to demonstrate your expertise with a practical test. If the role is business support or managerial, we may ask you to do a written test. Please don't worry - all will be explained to you before you come, and we'll make reasonable adjustments if you need them.


If you're successful at interview and join the team, we'll be committed to welcoming you into Nottingham City Homes. We'll complete a corporate induction session with you during your first week to give you an overview of the organisation and an understanding of what all the different teams do. Inductions are a great way to meet other new starters and get an insight into social housing.
