Renting a garage
We have garages to let across Nottingham.
Anyone can rent a garage - you don’t have to be a Nottingham City Homes tenant. They cost from as little as £9.21 per week for council tenants and £11.05 for non-tenants.
A garage is for your personal use, you mustn't run a business from it, and you mustn't store flammable liquids in it (other than what’s in your vehicle's petrol tank!).
If you’d like to rent a garage, contact us. We'll tell you whether we have any empty garages in the area you want, or if you need to go on a waiting list.
You can either call us on 0115 746 95 55, or complete the online application form.
When a suitable garage is available, we will arrange an appointment to view the garage.
You will need to bring with you:
- two forms of identification (such as a photo driving license, a passport, or bills addressed to you at your home)
- a £40 deposit (which you will get back at when you stop renting your garage providing it’s left in good repair and your rent’s been paid in full)
- your bank details, if you want to pay by direct debit.
Rent for your garage is payable monthly. The best way to pay is by direct debit.
If you want to stop renting your garage, you’ll need to give us a week's written notice. Your last day must be a Monday.
If your garage needs a repair, please let us know. Remember to give us the full address of the garage.
We have garage sites across the City of Nottingham. Click into the map below to find where we currently have available garages.
We also have garages in other areas of Nottingham (within the city boundary) so if the area you are interested in is not listed, it's always worth putting in an application so we can add you to the waiting list.
