Trainees at Nottingham City Homes (NCH) are starting out in their career in housing as part of a brand new housing training programme. NCH recently recruited six new Housing Management Trainees, who will be joined by another six members of staff already working at NCH to be a part of the company’s new scheme.
All those taking part in the programme will complete a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 qualification in Housing Management whilst working and gaining valuable experience.
The trainees will be working alongside a range of teams across NCH to learn more about tenant and leaseholder involvement, tenancy and estate management, rent collection and lettings.
The new trainee positions are being delivered on a fixed term basis for 12 months, during which time those taking part will be encouraged to apply for permanent roles within NCH.
Carol Aaron, NCH Learning and Development Manager, said: “The programme supports our talent management approach across Housing and Customer Services. It’s so important in housing for people not just to gain qualifications and learn the theory, but to put it into practice on a daily basis. The Housing Management trainees will get the chance to do this as they embark on their new careers.”
