Important safety information
Your safety is of great concern to us.
Please take note of the following:Getting in to your home
Our workers will need access to your home from 8am to 5pm. Sometimes we may need to get into your home at other times but we will always tell you in advance.
The improvement works are not continuous and workers will need access at different times of the day. You will be given a weekly programme of works. If you are not around during any part of these improvements, for example you may need to go to work, or pick up the children from school, please leave a key with a neighbour or your Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO). The contractor will keep your keys safe for you.
If you need a break from the noise and dust, tell your TLO who will arrange for you to visit somewhere for a break.
ID badges, safety clothing and bogus callers
We and our partners will always show our identification badges when we arrive at your home and wear the right safety clothing. If someone comes to your home without either of these, do not let them in. Instead, contact your Nottingham City Homes Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO) immediately or ring our switchboard on 0845 330 3131 and ask to be put through to your area housing office.
Bogus callers may see that work is being done in your area and use this as an excuse to try and get into your home. You should call the police immediately if you are suspicious about a caller's identity and do not let them in.
You can set up a password with your TLO so our staff can use this when they call at your home.
The video below made by our decent homes partner, SPI explains more about this.
